Firearm Dealers Needed for Important Illinois Lawsuit

The Illinois State Rifle Association is partnering with the NRA and others on a soon-to-be-filed lawsuit challenging Illinois' mandatory 72-hour waiting period to purchase a firearm.

As part of this effort, we would like to speak with firearm dealers who have brick-and-mortar retail locations and may be interested in participating in the lawsuit as a plaintiff.

We are especially looking for firearm dealers in northern and southern Illinois. For court purposes, this includes the areas shown in white on the map below.

If you operate a retail firearm business in one of these geographic areas and are interested in serving as a plaintiff in this important lawsuit, please contact ISRA counsel David Sigale as quickly as possible.

The NRA is looking for individuals to serve as plaintiffs in a legal challenge to Illinois' waiting period requirement for firearm purchases. We are specifically seeking responsible, law-abiding citizens who:

• Have no criminal history. 
• Intend to purchase a firearm in the near future.
• Are willing to participate in a legal case that could have a lasting national impact.

I find it absolutely credible that the ISRA doesn't understand what the NRA is doing.
