Euler Posted June 25, 2026 at 12:16 AM Posted June 25, 2026 at 12:16 AM (edited) In my inbox today: ISRA said:Firearm Dealers Needed for Important Illinois Lawsuit The Illinois State Rifle Association is partnering with the NRA and others on a soon-to-be-filed lawsuit challenging Illinois' mandatory 72-hour waiting period to purchase a firearm. As part of this effort, we would like to speak with firearm dealers who have brick-and-mortar retail locations and may be interested in participating in the lawsuit as a plaintiff. We are especially looking for firearm dealers in northern and southern Illinois. For court purposes, this includes the areas shown in white on the map below. If you operate a retail firearm business in one of these geographic areas and are interested in serving as a plaintiff in this important lawsuit, please contact ISRA counsel David Sigale as quickly as possible. You may also contact him if you have questions or would like more information about what participation may involve. Contact: David Sigale Phone: (630) 452-4547 Email: dsigale@sigalelaw.com This is an important opportunity to stand up for the rights of law-abiding gun owners, firearm dealers, and every Illinois resident who believes the Second Amendment should not be delayed by unnecessary government mandates. Thank you for standing with ISRA in defense of our constitutional rights. Illinois State Rifle Association Edited June 25, 2026 at 01:39 AM by Euler
SiliconSorcerer Posted June 25, 2026 at 03:05 PM Posted June 25, 2026 at 03:05 PM The NRA (obviously) sent this out... The NRA is looking for individuals to serve as plaintiffs in a legal challenge to Illinois' waiting period requirement for firearm purchases. We are specifically seeking responsible, law-abiding citizens who: Have no criminal history. Intend to purchase a firearm in the near future. Are willing to participate in a legal case that could have a lasting national impact. If you meet these criteria and are interested in standing up for your constitutional rights, please contact jgreenlee@nrahq.org for additional information. If you have ever found yourself in a situation in which you urgently needed a firearm, please mention that in your email. Your commitment could make a meaningful difference in defending the rights of millions of Americans.
Bubbacs Posted June 25, 2026 at 11:25 PM Posted June 25, 2026 at 11:25 PM So which is it? FFLs or Individuals?
Euler Posted June 26, 2026 at 12:16 AM Author Posted June 26, 2026 at 12:16 AM I find it absolutely credible that the ISRA doesn't understand what the NRA is doing.
