If sealed and not expunged, then they count as prohibitors. You have to do a full Informal Appeal to the FOIDRB, not the easier Records Challenge. lnegron Posted March 18, 2023 at 03:20 AM Share Posted March 18, 2023 at 03:20 AM What is FOIDRB and what is a full informal appeal? The convictions were over 20 years ago. The petition included all records and were granted in 2014.

FredNickl Posted March 18, 2023 at 03:22 AM Share Posted March 18, 2023 at 03:22 AM Other folks on this board can help educate you on this, or you can view the ISP website that explains the appeal process. "Informal" means that you do not have to file a petition for relief in court. I ASSUME that you're an Informal because you said the felonies were IVC related. Molly B. Posted March 18, 2023 at 03:36 PM Author Share Posted March 18, 2023 at 03:36 PM Here is a link to some very helpful information on our website. Read through it and let me know if you have any questions. If you send me a private message with a copy of the denial/revocation letter, I could be more specific. I applied for and was denied my FOID request. I appealed and got denied again. ISP cited "IVC Felonies 12/31/86" in my county. Years ago I applied for, and was granted an expungement for my criminal records (as of 09-14-2014). I received a letter from ISP dated 05/07/2014 denying my requests for all of the cases to be expunged/sealed. Three months later I received another letter from ISP dated 08/04/2014 that shows ISP granting and sealing all prior charges/cases. Can I still be denied? I do not understand why I am being denied. Can someone help me figure this out? What are IVC Felonies?
