Your going to get "Their just doing my job" from a certain percentage of them . They have pensions and family members worry about. Had a LEO run in this mode at a recent GSL meeting. The other phrase was, work with elected officials to change laws and fight them in court. Basically their way of absolving themselves and tossing the conflict back at ourselves. Tough issues to consider as its starting on the 11th month of playing legal games with Illinois court systems. And an impending deadline to make decisions on registering and handing a confiscation list pre-made for The LEOs that are going to go Full Jack Booted Thug the next time some Loon is off their antidepressants / SSRI's and goes postal. We all suspect Theres already prewritten legislation siting waiting to hit the states floor in springfield for just such an occasion.

Help for MAC users and ISP website
Yas replied to Molly B.'s topic in Illinois FOID Application, Renewal & Appeal Process
Small note; I just realized that when I went and compleated the application process this morning at 2 am (an application without submitting e-prints) That I used Safari and had no issues getting in. Previously in establishing my ID and the 2nd time bumping my application process up to the 90 % point I was using firefox. Final submission went thru using safari. so the ISP may have done some changes. It just might be worth trying if you have had issues. Thru the whole process it was the toughest to get an ID established. Java, which browser, and that stuff. Once that was done the actual CCW application was pretty slick even it its early state of beta. Watch out for some 5 second delays in a few bits of the application where Java verifies itself. There were a couple parts where there was a bit of a delay. Don't get too rapid fire on the enter or left click mouse button. -

Just made it thru pre jan 5th application to 90 % and that was with NOT submitting fingerprints. Java security was set at high.
