Sigma Posted August 19, 2011 at 04:43 AM Posted August 19, 2011 at 04:43 AM In an email sent to their members, the Brady campaign lists the following adding a donation link at the bottom. I'm sorry, Gov. Perry, I didn't quite catch what you said... Dear Sigma, Is this the type of President the American public wants? When asked if he was armed on the campaign trail, Texas Governor Rick Perry smiled and replied, "That’s why it’s called concealed." Stop this extremism before it reaches the White House! The Republican primary campaign has hardly begun and already it is being dominated by extremists. None as scary as Rick Perry who brazenly carries weapons — concealed and revealed. Even on the campaign trail! Only an egotistical extremist would carry a loaded weapon into a crowd — encouraging others to do so. Is this where America is headed? Is this the America you want for our nation’s children? Polls prove over and over again that Americans support sensible gun laws and don’t want guns in public places. Our goal is for our elected officials to reflect the will of the American people, not the "guns everywhere" ideologues. Please help us with a donation today to stop gun extremists before it is too late.

Now that there is funny, I don't care who you are. Edited a typo.
GarandFan Posted August 19, 2011 at 11:41 AM Posted August 19, 2011 at 11:41 AM It is interesting how the Brady's think they can advance their cause by insulting millions and millions of Americans. But that seems par for the course. Then there are those similar to the Brady campaign folks ... folks who don't know anything about guns and don't want to, yet make "statements of fact" about concealed carry. http://www.dailykos.com/story/2011/08/15/1007221/-Rick-Perry-wont-say-whether-hes-packing-heat-on-the-campaign-trail I've never owned a gun and probably never will ... I can't imagine [Perry] really is [carrying], but if he were, wouldn't it be stupid beyond belief? I mean, imagine he's in the middle of a crowd, getting mobbed by supporters, shaking hands and dishing out high fives ... in that scenario, how in the world is he supposed to maintain control over his weapon? Obviously, he couldn't. As a public figure constantly surrounded by people he doesn't know, there's just no way for Rick Perry to safely carry a firearm.
Ashes Posted August 19, 2011 at 01:20 PM Posted August 19, 2011 at 01:20 PM I think if someone tried to tackle Perry during a support rally, that person might find facing a mob of enraged supporters more scary than whatever pistol Perry is packing.
Drylok Posted August 19, 2011 at 01:58 PM Posted August 19, 2011 at 01:58 PM How many Americans are licensed to carry now? 9 million I believe it is. That's some balls to bad mouth that many ordinary people
TTIN Posted August 19, 2011 at 01:58 PM Posted August 19, 2011 at 01:58 PM I don't know what polls the Florence Hendersons are looking at,but every poll I have seen says that Americans are heavily in favor of LTC.

pyre400 Posted August 19, 2011 at 02:05 PM Posted August 19, 2011 at 02:05 PM I think if someone tried to tackle Perry during a support rally, that person might find facing a mob of enraged supporters more scary than whatever pistol Perry is packing. Perry is followed around by a big Woody Harrison looking bodyguard. I've seen Perry with the same agent in several videos spanning from 2004 to present. So why aren't they concerned about Woody? For that matter, why aren't these people sh!tting in their pants over Obama's guard detail? That's like a freaking armed militia ...no need to answer the question. It's entirely due to their inability to reason.
GarandFan Posted August 19, 2011 at 02:08 PM Posted August 19, 2011 at 02:08 PM How many Americans are licensed to carry now? 9 million I believe it is. Many people, including John Lott, suggest that 6 million Americans have carry permits. Just dawned on me how stupid that statement actually is. Surrounding Perry, Obama, or nearly any politician of profile are numerous people carrying concealed weapons. How in the world do they maintain control over their weapons? Obviously, they can (and do).

Davey Posted August 19, 2011 at 05:45 PM Posted August 19, 2011 at 05:45 PM It's one thing for him to make the case for concealed carry permits, but it's another thing altogether if he's actually carrying as a candidate ... it's strange and it's reckless. Urge...to...punch puppies.INCREASING!!!

Silver Guardian Posted August 20, 2011 at 12:10 AM Posted August 20, 2011 at 12:10 AM I wonder how they would feel about my previous carrying in Disneyworld.

This should be the definition of the MSM as well. Main stream media: A large media organization who's goal is to deliberately mislead those who don't have the ability to rationally reason. I tip my hat to you sir!Gooch
Sigma Posted August 22, 2011 at 11:56 PM Author Posted August 22, 2011 at 11:56 PM I come to this post Daily and still laugh at Davey's response. You cant come up with a better response for #3
Howard Roark Posted August 23, 2011 at 02:06 AM Posted August 23, 2011 at 02:06 AM Florence Hendersons lol !
Xwing Posted August 24, 2011 at 09:27 PM Posted August 24, 2011 at 09:27 PM , or a deliberate attempt to mislead those who dont have the ability to reason. Exactly. Hitting the nail on the head.
