Assures that Quinn is the Dem opponent. He is percieved by many to be the weaker candidate.

Well, good. Because many say that about Brady relative to Dillard. Weaker in terms of mustering the most statewide votes. I don't know if that's true ... but they've been talking that way at the Tribune, that the Chicago dems would be much much happier running against Brady rather than Dillard.

GF,

Have you kept up on the Scott Cohen fiasco today?? Quite a story unfolding there. If the election were held tomorrow, my eight year old granddaughter would beat Quinn/Cohen.

And she would serve better and be more knowledgable of the law too.

Good! I kept hoping for a Quinn primary victory. I don't see how anyone could re-elect him after the mess he's made of our State Budget and his stated plan to raise everyone's taxes significantly!

Well, in the past, the Chicago machine has elected pretty much whomever they wanted elected.

We gotta get busy to make sure that doesn't happen this year.

....yep!....and, I read somewhere that Chicago has the highest taxes anywhere, even worse than California! Yet the sheeple keep voting in the same crooks who have them shackled with insane taxes and regulations year after year.

He'll be convinced to bow out and no longer be a worry. The election is a long way off.

My guess is he will negotiate a deal where the Party will reimburse him for the $2 million he spent on the primary campaign in exchange for him going away.
