wolfcreek Posted June 26, 2019 at 08:48 PM Share Posted June 26, 2019 at 08:48 PM Hello : After I retired from the building trades after 43 years.I became depressed & Went to a doctor for some help.He suggested going to central dupage hospital.for rest, & med adjustment.I spent 4 days & upon returning home.I found my FOID had been revoked for being in the hospital for depression. This was reported by my doctor.(former doctor) This was july 2013.Other then this I have never had any issues with the police or anything that would keep me from having a FOID.In August of 2018 I went and had an evaluation done & spent $!000.00 to get it done.Jumped through all the hoops.Sent in my paperwork & got a conformation that my paperwork was recived.I was told 90 days. Then 3 to 6 months.then a year or maybe two or three years.e-mailed,called,ISP many times. No one ever responded.Going on 1 year now.Along with the total "HUBRIS" of the Illinois government & the ISP.I feel that the super majority of the Illinois government. Is turning the state into a sociaist, communist, marxist government. They want your guns.make no mistake about it.If they take the 2020 election. Its gonna get ugly.As for me. FREE AT LAST.FREE AT LAST.THANK GOD ALMIGHTY.I'M FREE AT LAST. 6/26 Last day in Illinois.Movin to higher ground.
lockman Posted June 26, 2019 at 10:33 PM Share Posted June 26, 2019 at 10:33 PM That’s probably the quickest way to have your rights restored move to another state.

John Q Public Posted June 27, 2019 at 08:48 AM Share Posted June 27, 2019 at 08:48 AM I wonder just how many don't seek help for fear of having their rights revoked.
KENDLLB360 Posted June 27, 2019 at 03:39 PM Author Share Posted June 27, 2019 at 03:39 PM I figured theres plenty of stories to be told. Mines is i was a victim of false malicious criminal charges by someone who wanted to ruin my life. They falsely called 911 stating i pointed a firearm at them. CPD arrived on scene and immediately treated me like crap. They totally ignored anything i had to say and went off of the other persons word only and charged me. I had to pay for lawyer fees, took the case to trial by judge and was found not guilty of the charges. But not before the person was able to receive a order of protection against me because of a bias judge. That order led to my revocation/suspension. For 2yrs!! Dispite my being found not guilty of those charges in criminal court because my not guilty verdict was rendered too late after the order of protection court date. So i missed the time frame to appeal the order of protection based on the not guilty verdict. So i sat for the past 2 yrs with no firearm(in cpd inventory) and a revoked ccl. You can imagine my frustration even more so considering that i had a court order from the criminal court judge saying for CPD to return my furearm back to my possession. But they wouldn't because of my suspension. The worse 2 yrs of my life. Now the order is over as of may 23, and here i am waiting for them to return my rights that should have never been taken away. Stuck on appeal under review.
