McCroskey Posted September 24, 2019 at 12:45 AM Posted September 24, 2019 at 12:45 AM Sorry if this was covered before. It looks like I'll be moving out of Chicago and to Clarendon Hills in November. I see the "update address" button in the ISP site for FOID and CCW. Is there anything I should know before I go and update my info there in a couple months? I'm assuming I'l get socked for another round of fees too.
Euler Posted September 24, 2019 at 12:51 AM Posted September 24, 2019 at 12:51 AM Change the address on your driver's license first.
ILgunguy Posted September 24, 2019 at 12:52 AM Posted September 24, 2019 at 12:52 AM You go through the entire process, so expect the same wait times as if you are renewing or applying like the first time. Good luck!
Molly B. Posted September 24, 2019 at 03:58 AM Posted September 24, 2019 at 03:58 AM If you are within 6 months of needing to renew your FOID or CCL, wait and change the address as part of the renewal process when doing the address history. If you do the request address change, you will be locked out of the system and not be able to renew.
