All it takes is the balls to say no. -

I cannot confirm nor deny having a PS90 SBR approved in 28 days with a C&R. -

Read the law carefully. The 26” length requirement only applies to reenactors, not those with a C&R. -
You wouldn’t have to worry about affording an attorney if the landlord unlocked your door for the police. There’s a time and place for total cooperation with the police. When they show up at your home uninvited without a warrant isn’t generally one of them. Refuse to speak with them (don’t even acknowledge them) or speak with them through a window if you feel you must. When you’re in your own residence you have the majority of the power. If they’ve got you pulled over in your vehicle then the decision to cooperate depends on you and the reason for the interaction. But in your own home when you don’t want them there? F em.

Foid denial for incorrect records
Cerus replied to BoJo's topic in Illinois FOID Application, Renewal & Appeal Process
Should probably start a new thread or post in one of the CCL threads rather than hijacking one on a completly different issue. -
A lot of customer service organizations record their phone calls. It's pretty standard procedure to forward threats of suicide to authorities. Anyone who ignores such a threat is open for civil liability if the suicide then actually occurs.Again where’s the actual proof? It’s not as if a person can’t give a fake name or spoof a phone number. Unless you admit to it they have zero proof when they show up. And I don’t think a customer service center or individual can be held liable unless they directly caused the suicide. Those cases are hard to prove even still.

Um...what customer service were you calling that you would use a threat of suicide as some sort of leverage and why would you even do such a thing? Also - what proof would the local police even have that it was you who made the statement? Lastly, while I’m not an expert on all of ILs laws, I’m not aware of one that allows the police to sieze firearms without a court order. Seems to be some crucial information missing here.

A Glock for your birthday? That's a pretty mean thing to do to yourself. J/K -
FOID denied
Cerus replied to ROSCOE8688's topic in Illinois FOID Application, Renewal & Appeal Process
You would think so but I was convicted of a felony involving a work accident nothing violent or drug related. I appealed my case and won got a acquittal meaning I no longer have any convictions. I have no other criminal history or other disqualifying criteria and they still denied my foid card just days ago online. I haven't got my letter yet. So Im still paying for their mistakes. IANAL but I believe you'll need to consult an attorney and start the process to restore your rights. Question 1 is have you ever been convicted of a felony which you technically have. Not sure how that works with appeals but I'm sure that conviction is still on your record. -
This is true yes. If the address doesn't match what's on your DL, not enough address history or errors in said history it can be denied. I don't think that's true. I know that CCL apps with missing or incorrect information are "rejected," not "denied." I see no reason why the FOID would be any different. Good point. We need clarification on what the ISP website says whether denied or rejected.
