captdan Posted August 19, 2019 at 04:08 PM Posted August 19, 2019 at 04:08 PM We have had three FOID renewals come back with the expiration date 30 days past the issue date. This just recently happened and we suspect it is wide spread. Be sure to check the expiration date on your FOID renewal.
Bubbacs Posted August 19, 2019 at 05:09 PM Posted August 19, 2019 at 05:09 PM you call ISP or at least send a e-mail?
captdan Posted August 19, 2019 at 05:23 PM Author Posted August 19, 2019 at 05:23 PM We have. It appears this is associated with renewal of ILCC. They send new FOID card even though the expiration date is with 60 days. Many folks think there FOID is renewed and it is not. They must renew FOID even though they receive a new FOID card. Check the expiration date on any cards you receive from ISP.
Bubbacs Posted August 19, 2019 at 09:26 PM Posted August 19, 2019 at 09:26 PM oh OK got it.then yes it does expire as the original datethis info is pinned some where herethose getting a new ccl will get the new foid to have matching numberswhen the foid gets there check the date as we all dothe date is what you had originally the state of Illinois will not give you extended time, cause they suc so you will have to pay for a renewed foid cards next question you may have, is yes your ccl is still valid and good to go while the foid is being renewed

Your card should still remain active per FOID Act. "If a renewal application has been submitted prior to the expiration date of the applicant's Firearm Owner's Identification Card, the Firearm Owner's Identification Card shall remain valid while the Department processes the application, unless the person is subject to or becomes subject to revocation under this Act. Pjustin13 Posted August 26, 2019 at 11:03 PM Posted August 26, 2019 at 11:03 PM This is what i understood as well just not real happy about possibly running into issues with an ffl transfer with a foid showing past expired date..
HDUC10 Posted August 26, 2019 at 11:37 PM Posted August 26, 2019 at 11:37 PM Although your FOID is valid during the renewal process, the clerk at your ammo store will object when the card shows past its expiration date.
Pjustin13 Posted August 27, 2019 at 01:39 PM Posted August 27, 2019 at 01:39 PM I’m just a little more p***** that the phone lines are completely in active and immediately go to a recorded message what happens for those who have to file a paper application over the phone it doesn’t exist… Have tried for over two weeks multiple times a day and it literally always immediately a recorded message the system is a joke
Bubbacs Posted August 27, 2019 at 02:36 PM Posted August 27, 2019 at 02:36 PM Phone lines AND applications have been Fubared forum the jump!Welcome to the Illinois Carry (I am so P***ed Off) Fourms........
