papa Posted February 5, 2009 at 07:51 AM Posted February 5, 2009 at 07:51 AM www.register-news.com Gov. Quinn has removed Grandberg from his new position as head of the IDNR. I think this was a great move on Gov. Quinns part.
Air Commando Posted February 5, 2009 at 01:52 PM Posted February 5, 2009 at 01:52 PM I read that and good for him but why aren't all of you pushing your officials for less pensions for them once they serve their 4 years. To me it seems awful that 4 years or 24 they get their $70,000 a year. If you do 20 I can understand but pensions for 4 years of service are stupid. If you elect me I'll get rid of the pension system or give myself a raise, whichever is easier.
Jeff Johnson Posted February 5, 2009 at 02:36 PM Posted February 5, 2009 at 02:36 PM Grandberg gets a very nice $40K per year BUMP in his pension because he held the position for about 3 weeks.gee, I would do almost anything for 3 weeks and $40K per year for the rest of my life! This krapp should be criminal. How much did he "contribute" to friends of Blagojevich?

Pensions are based on the last days pay scale or the highest scale of pay from a different department. He did not get this type of pension for 3 weeks work. mac
Kenny Posted March 2, 2009 at 03:29 AM Posted March 2, 2009 at 03:29 AM Just heard on news,Marc Miller was appointed by Quinn to replace Grandberg. I had the chance to meet Marc Miller last night. I can say from hanging out with him for a lot of the evening he is a top notch dude. He was sharing hunting stories and just being a regular hunter, fisherman, shooter kind of guy. He defiantly gets my stamp of approval!! I see great things for the Illinois Department of Natural Resources in the future!! We have been to the rock bottom and now there is nowhere to go but up, and Marc is the man to help us get to the top!!!
