  1. Socialist Democrats, and the 5th Column of main stream media, tend to always use that vague term Democracy. It was strange to hear Conehead use the word Constitution. The Constitution is a specific thing that creates a national government, limits that government and ensures the rights of the people. It is the letter of the law. It provides specific requirements that governments must comply with. This is not familiar or comfortable ground for Socialist Democrats. They always want to use terms with multiple definitions so they can make rules up and attempt to justify them, or attack an opponent, all under the banner of “defending democracy”. They use the term democracy to squirm like a crawfish when pressure is on them. So, it must be asked, did THE JOHNSON understand what it said?
  2. Ah yes.. It is JaBa The Putz again. King of hypocrisy, Defender of liberal drool, Emperor of toilets. All hail His Majesty. Rule by Royal proclamations are for the good of the little people who are all stupid, not rich, not educated, not Democrat donors, so are not his friends. Those not his friends are enemies of the state who must be suppressed and whose ideas must be eliminated. Only government approved thought is allowed. Dissent is anarchy. I wonder how much he’ll spend to try to buy the presidency? Sparkle Fart’s Senate seat would have been cheaper, but he didn’t take it. I got it! Illinois should declare war on El Salvador! That way JaBa could put on his third world Generals uniform replete a lot of gold braid, his medals for tax evasion and Covid restrictions, and Prussian epaulettes. Now there’s a picture that’s hard to forget.
  3. How much did this thing cost the Illinois taxpayers? What makes it better than UCR (Uniform Crime Reporting) data? What data will be used? Who will maintain the site/data? Who verifies the data and suppositions? Is there any legal requirement for anyone to comply with their collection of data? So far the site has produced results that are already known.
  4. Thank EdD.
  5. Thank you everyone.
  6. With minimum information I learned today that scotus will hold a conference hearing on three 2A cases involving mag capacity, semi autos, and injunctive relief when 2A rights have been violated tomorrow. The cases involve Maryland, Rhode Island, and Delaware. Does anyone have more information on these? I tried the scotus website, but I’m not able to determine much.
  7. Thanks for staying with this MM. It must be difficult at times. But, your work is appreciated.
  8. I wonder if they have the desire or energy to do anything. It appears to some shooters that the top administration views their positions as retirement jobs.
  9. Does anyone know what ISRA is doing, or has done, about the extra-legal activities of state government? I contacted my state rep’s office to inform them of the practice. They were unaware of it.
  10. I’ve now managed to speak with several dealers who have reported that the delay we receive is the usual response from ISP when a person is buying a gun. Most valid FOID card holders get delayed in the dealer’s experience. None of them know why, but they all speculated providing various reasons. None can be confirmed. Regardless the reason, the effect is more gatekeeping by a police authority. So I question, why do I draw a delay when I buy a gun, but not when I buy ammunition at Walmart? Also, since ISP runs every FOID card holder every day on NICS what takes days to clear? How did the ISP spend the tax money it received to “fix” the FOID system? Why is ISP slower now than before they “fixed” it? These are rhetorical questions for discussion and thought. Just like the dealers I spoke with I have my speculations as well. Just like them none of my suspicions can be confirmed either.
  11. For clarity, I received my first FOID in 1968. My experience is that I’ve never ran into this before. I haven’t bought a gun from a dealer for four years. But, my question stands. Has this practice by the state drawn the attention of the ISRA or any other organization? Has anyone considered that a civil right delayed is a right denied.
  12. Being naive I have to ask if these delays drawn the attention of ISRA or any other organization yet? Politicians?
  13. Thanks for the quick replies. I should have considered NICS knowing that the “Chicago” effect, after eating into the soul of Illinois, has bored its way into the core of national government as well. Delay by design or incompetence? Either way it is a right denied.
  14. Have people been running into abnormal delays for FOID clearances lately? Yesterday I bought a gun from my local dealer and was confronted with a delay from ISP. I’ve never had this happen before. Today I went back to store and learned that I still have not cleared and also that eight people who bought guns yesterday at that store all received delays. Because this involves the State of Illinois I can reasonably assume someone’s brother-in-law or the politically connected IT wizard screwed it up or just forgot to go to work so I’m not jumping to a conspiracy theory. But, I have to ask if has it happened to anyone else? Anyone else experience this? Thanks.
