For the researches and curious among us, I will assert the following and ask you to support or refute each with actual confirmed facts: 1. Most FOID recipients are Democrats and reside in Cook County and the largest percentage of those reside in Chicago. 2. More than 40 percent of gun owners or possessors do not have FOID cards. 3. 99 percent of those who actually use a gun to commit agg battery, car jackings, residential burglaries, murder, attempt murder, and armed robbery do not have a FOID card. 4. None of the shooters who killed or injured someone last night in Chicago possessed a FOID card. 5. The FOID Act is Constitutional because it does not constitute a prior restraint on the exercise of a constitutionally protected right.

I am shocked and surprised that the Sheriff of Cook County, the chief law enforcement officer in the county, does not know the concealed carry laws of this state. Equally appalling is that he would advertise his ignorance by posting on Facebook.

You have posted enough about the incident. Stop publically discussing the case, including what you claim as damages. Retain a lawyer who is able and willing to file a civil case against Chicago.

I sometimes fear the police more than I fear the bad guy. Also, I understand the reasons many members of the community do not cooperate with the police...a lack of trust.

Put the cork back in the bottle. Wait until the Illinois Supreme Court gets the case. Who knows what that court will do......................

Rhanni Davis, the accused shooter, may not have been a convicted felon. Mr. Skinny, what is the source of your information that he was a convicted felony? He did not have a concealed carry license or a valid FOID at the time of the shooting, which is relevant to the probable sanctions that may be imposed on the overzealous attorneys for the State.
