  1. Are we expecting a late-night vote this weekend? Isn't Sunday the last of session (for now)?
  2. Interesting, ISRA just sent out an alert in SUPPORT of HB4999.
  3. Do they know something? Late night session for the RIFL act perhaps?
  4. The capitol building was very busy last Wednesday, and several school groups (field trips for kids) added to the chaos, but there was busload after busload of "activists", all of them looking for a handout for one cause or another. Us, in our yellow shirts and hats, are just asking to be left alone, which is apparently a bridge too far for Illinois dems. I only speak for myself in saying repeal PICA and eliminate the FOID, and I'm good as far as guns go. Just leave me alone.
  5. Less than 500 people Id say.
  6. I didn’t see it publicized here either.
  7. Where is the under 50 crowd?
  8. no witness slips for these yet, correct?
  9. This seems to have picked up a lot of sponsors - is this a real threat or a bait-and-switch for something less egregious but still awful?
  10. I'm pretty sure that is the case in this situation.
  11. I'm pretty sure that changed recently, they took his foid and guns.
  12. Younger gentleman in Macoupin county became the victim of an OP and had his guns taken by the sheriff several months ago. OP is dropped by the judge recently after his crazy mother admits to said judge that she only got an OP as leverage to see her grandchild (the gentleman in question's child). Gentleman gets FOID back and goes to collect his guns (including 3 AR's), sheriff keeps the AR's because they weren't registered, stating "we could cite you but we will just keep he guns". So much for Macoupin not enforcing PICA. Watch your crazy relatives.
  13. And Bruen. And Trump. And Musk. And anyone that supports them. TDS is a real thing. When you have suburban women thinking that wearing a MAGA hat is violence and intimidation, that's a rather large demographic that is off the rails and will support anything to "own" conservatives or anything that is perceived to be conservative, like gun ownership.
  14. I've also heard straight from the mouths of troopers that they have no intention of enforcing this nonsense, and will make up any excuse to avoid it - that and $10 will get you a butterburger basket at Culvers. Beyond that, the state only knows who bought rifles, not semi-auto rifles, unless they visit every FFL in the state and seize the 4473's, which isn't happening at this point.
