miztic Posted May 17, 2013 at 05:16 PM Posted May 17, 2013 at 05:16 PM I thought c0untzero's thread in the other forum section "What lee goodman is up to" was an excellent idea, so I'm starting one for Gabby, here's an email I received a few days ago: it seems they are still trying to scrounge up votes and twisting arms to push their BS through. One of the most important lessons I first learned during my time in the Arizona State House is that you win the vote before it's actually cast. What that means for us is basically this: if we can find that sixtieth supporter in the Senate, we'll get another vote, and it will happen quickly. That's why Mark and I never stopped working after the filibuster of expanded background checks. We continue to visit with Senators, have run ads making sure people know how their Senators voted, and pledged our support for the ones who voted to save lives. If you believe, like I do, that grassroots pressure and tough ads can flip five Senators whose public approval polls have plummeted because of their previous vote on background checks, then this is when we actually make it happen. Can I count on you to help us sustain our momentum by making a $5 contribution to Americans for Responsible Solutions right now? http://americanforre...gress?source=em In the last week alone, we've seen signs from some no-voting Senators that they've seen the light on expanded background checks. And in New Hampshire, the NRA leadership is running television ads in an attempt to mislead voters. This is when we actually win the vote, and we're getting closer. All the best, Gabby
lostone1413 Posted May 19, 2013 at 10:38 PM Posted May 19, 2013 at 10:38 PM Gabby never was a Conservative In Arizona Tucson ,Flagstaff, and Sedona are without a doubt the most liberal cities in the State
miztic Posted June 24, 2013 at 05:13 PM Author Posted June 24, 2013 at 05:13 PM Got a new email today, I guess they are raffling off 6 trips to maine, a dinner and lodging:You don't even have to donate to be entered, I'm half tempted to enter, maybe talk some sense into them if I win they must know that this background check BS does nothing. Between trips to Capitol Hill, state legislatures, and Gabby's work recovering from her injury, we don't get many chances to just sit down and enjoy a relaxing meal with friends. And that's a shame, because we have so much thank you for -- you've taken our effort to pass gun violence legislation and turned it into a grassroots movement. We'd love to share our appreciation in person. Contribute $5 or more today and you'll be automatically entered to join us and six supporters for a lobster dinner in Portland, Maine on Saturday, July 6th. Choose a friend or family member to bring along, and we'll take care of your airfare and lodging. http://action.americ...ions.org/dinner The dinner is part of a Rights and Responsibilities Tour we're kicking off that will take us from Alaska to North Carolina with a few stops between during the first week of July. The tour gives us a chance to keep the pressure on the Senators we need to flip and thank the ones who voted for background checks in April. We'd love to see you while we're in Maine. All the best, Gabby and Mark

pyre400 Posted June 25, 2013 at 04:00 AM Posted June 25, 2013 at 04:00 AM You could ask Mark how easy it is to purchase an AR. Ask him if its any different than the 1911 he purchased, and if he expected it to be different.
Talonap Posted June 26, 2013 at 05:47 PM Posted June 26, 2013 at 05:47 PM Think I heard something on Cam & Co yesterday about the Giffords & friends starting a bus tour like the Bloomberg fiasco... Anyone hear anything else on this?

Mark sees it as a great way to make a fast buck. I know they know the back ground BS they are pushing will accomplish squat.

"Senators we need to flip" --- If this is true, I can think of a "bus we need to flip"
Ccc2003 Posted July 2, 2013 at 08:34 PM Posted July 2, 2013 at 08:34 PM If the pro gunners can stay awake and work on their politicians that are anti gun about they had better worry about the next election, they are the ones that can flip votes.
BobPistol Posted July 2, 2013 at 10:12 PM Posted July 2, 2013 at 10:12 PM She's shooting a Ruger SR22.
AlphaKoncepts aka CGS Posted July 2, 2013 at 11:20 PM Posted July 2, 2013 at 11:20 PM She's shooting a Ruger SR22.Is it true then that she is not legally/mentally capable of possessing a firearm due to her brain damage? Is she not now in violation of federal law?
BobPistol Posted July 2, 2013 at 11:31 PM Posted July 2, 2013 at 11:31 PM Is it true then that she is not legally/mentally capable of possessing a firearm due to her brain damage? Is she not now in violation of federal law? Well, she is a leftist, and if we had a just society, then yeah, she'd be determined to be brain damaged and in violation of federal law. But we live in the USA and she's a democrat, so nothing will ever happen to her.

BobPistol Posted July 3, 2013 at 01:34 AM Posted July 3, 2013 at 01:34 AM Yep, they are going to push their gun control BS and still be photoed shooting after it all passes! That's because leftists believe in human rights only for the chosen, and no human rights for all. They believe they are the chosen ones.
