Lou Posted September 1, 2010 at 06:11 PM Posted September 1, 2010 at 06:11 PM This is in response to the September 1st article about Mayor Daley defending Superintendent Weis’ holding a meeting with alleged gang members {Daley defends Weis gang meeting}. Mayor Daley stated the meeting was appropriate “ ..saying it's worth pursuing if it could save a life.” I would agree and would also like the mayor to back passage of Right To Carry legislation currently pending in Springfield that would bring Illinois in line with the other 48 states that allow concealed firearms to be carried. The experience of the other 48 states has been that innocent lives have been saved and all the dire predictions of gunfights in the streets have proven to be false. It’s time for Illinois to join the rest of America. This one will never see the light of day.
GWBH Posted September 1, 2010 at 06:25 PM Posted September 1, 2010 at 06:25 PM Probably not - Daley is not fond of the truth - especially when it exposes him for the dunce he is!! Nice Work Lou...

SFC Stu Posted September 9, 2010 at 03:08 AM Posted September 9, 2010 at 03:08 AM Probably not - Daley is not fond of the truth - especially when it exposes him for the dunce he is!! Nice Work Lou... If you were the Mayor, how would it feel to be wrong and stupid?
Lou Posted September 10, 2010 at 11:40 AM Author Posted September 10, 2010 at 11:40 AM They did print it today with minimal editing. My link Gangs and guns Mayor Daley defended Police Supt. Jody Weis' meeting with alleged gang members ("Daley defends gang meeting," News, Sept. 1). Daley stated the meeting was appropriate because such contact is "worth pursuing if it could save a life." I would agree and would also like the mayor to back passage of Right To Carry legislation currently pending in Springfield that would bring Illinois in line with the 48 states that allow concealed firearms to be carried.
