It is with sadness I report the passing of Mr. Ralph Conner, head of the Congress of Racial Equality, Chicago. Mr.Conner passed away at his home on Saturday, March 13, 2010.

Mr. Conner championed the Second Amendment rights of all Americans but especially for the defenseless citizens of Chicago.

He is most recently known for his collaborative efforts with the JPFO in producing the video "No Guns for Negroes".

Mr. Conner was the key speaker at the 2009 Second Amendment Freedom Rally held in Thompson Plaza in downtown Chicago.

Mr. Conner will be missed by many. Arrangements are pending.

I was truly impressed with his speech at SAFR 2009. He was a great and articulate gentleman.

Mr. Connor was a tireless worker for gun owners rights. After seeing "No guns for Negroes" and hearing him speak at last year's Second Amendment Freedom Rally, I asked, and he agreed to speak to my class. I taught a film class last semester and "No Guns for Negroes" was one of the films I showed. He was a very lively and dynamic speaker and the students truly appreciated his knowledge, his spirit and his presentation. He will be sorely missed.
