Calls for action (witness slips links)

When these are posted can they be locked?

 

I want to know if it's highlighted there's "action" to do, not see done, me too, or did three responses. 

 

Just post the links for each and lock it, if it gets updated there's another :action" I need to do, no noise. 

That's what the tally's are for.

So your saying after the opening post your NEVER post another action or update it?

It would be unusual. I think there was a time or two when that was done and, when it occurred, the opening post was edited to include the update. 

 

It would be more typical to see a second, or even a third alert in order to keep things as clear as possible.

Keep in mind that our Calls to Action go out via email too.  Those can't be edited once they're sent, of course, so new alerts are required.

Just trying to keep the noise down, I would like a forum not to light up if there's post on a topic if I could click ignore on, but I know that's not happening.
