Case to watch for affecting national carry

The summary, licensed carry arrested in another State after stopping crime. The individual is challenging the arrest. The case will most likely be made that none of the other Constitutional rights stop at a State border, but are valid anywhere in the US.

It's not a 2A case, at least not yet. It's a criminal case.

That would be his criminal defense. Every criminal defendant who doesn't plead guilty challenges his arrest.

 

Think of this case like a Maryland version of Bernie Goetz. He had a firearm that was technically illegal. He shot someone. It didn't make constitutional law. It didn't even make precedent really. It did make NYC change it's law enforcement policies (a little). He was still convicted of illegal possession.
