  1. They get revoked but that’s assuming the local LEO actually mails the cards to the ISP.
  2. http://illinoiscarry.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=70159 Look at Post No. 19 in this thread.
  3. That 7-11 is a block away and across the street from Jones College Prep which is where my three kids go to high school. They're in there after school some days grabbing junk food. Good thing we don't let them out after dark unless either mom or dad is driving them. ........sigh
  4. Applied for the kids on 8/22 (Saturday) and they went active on 9/18. No cards yet but I believe the FOID Act says they are supposed to approve or deny within 30 days. Which ISP did manage to do. But really, how long does it take to run a BGC on a minor child? Oh well, just happy the new on line application system works.
  5. Sorry I didn't catch this earlier - all my kids were born after 01/01/2000 and I applied for their FOIDs online - nothing in the process stopped me and they accepted my payment. No worries Count. They accepted my payment as well. So now the wait begins.
  6. Well, I just completed the application and paid on line for the youngest. She was born after 1/1/00 so we'll see what happens.
  7. Any idea why they won't allow you to apply on line for a minor child born after January 1, 2000? Do you think it is purely an age thing? Also, I trust ISP will fill in the FOID Application Number on the parental affidavit; I don't see an application number on the screen anywhere.
  8. I saw that on the news yesterday afternoon. I was watching the TV in the corporate suite at the Cubs game and everyone else is having a good time and I let out an expletive showing my disgust at the story. Everyone goes, man you're such a downer. Have a beer! I guess I'm glad I'm not riding the Red line as often any more. Unfortunately, I ride it twice a day Monday through Friday.
  9. And now there is a gentleman robbing ladies by ripping their necklaces off and then exiting CTA trains. Nice. http://abc7chicago.com/news/necklace-thief-targets-women-on-cta-trains-police-say/926380/
  10. It actually surprises me it's that high. I thought it would be closer to 10%. I would like to see them at 50/50. In reality I would feel much better if my wife carried (she has no interest). Ditto. On both points.
  11. I have pestered them in the past. Not so much lately. I find it curious that they are now sending out unsolicited emails to Illinoisans (including Chicagoans) telling us that we can buy ammo from them. A barrage of unsolicited e-mails to a bunch of people sounds to me like a possible issue with their mailing list where someone pressed a button they shouldn't have. If you want to like contact them to confirm that the e-mail means they'll ship ammo to Cook County and the City of Chicago and that their reps are all aware of this policy, I'll be happy to re-add them to the list. Because of the previous problems with their waffling and inconsistency, I'm hesitant to trust anything they say. I want for this list to be as accurate and up-to-date as possible, and don't want any more people upset because they ordered something from a vendor on the list and were then rejected (in one case someone was even forced to pay a ridiculous restocking fee). Well, I reached out to them via email and this was Midway's response: Dear , Thank you for your recent email. I apologize but at this time we are unable to ship ammunition to Chicago regardless of the FOID card. We always side with caution when it comes to these kinds of things but I will forward this information on double check the legality. I hope this information has been helpful to you. 14. Then they should say "No, we're not shipping ammo there. Go away." I'd be happy to, since plenty of other businesses are all too happy to sell to us. Agreed. It would be much easier for all of us if they would just give a straight forward, honest, no BS answer instead of the typical drivel that customer service spews.
