I think it sbogus because they still have not complied with the order.

(Appellants (McDonald and NRA) recover costs) does that mean Daley has to pay a suit amount or they have to pay the lawyer fees?

They have to pay the McDonald lawyer fees, which for civil rights cases is going hourly rate * 2. Of course Chicago could try to fight it and incur even more legal fees in the process.

Could try? They WILL try.

You BET they will! What have they got to loose - other than the taxpayers' dollars?

Waste....waste....and more waste.

Will the case about the ordinance, fees, training and all that to keep a handgun in Chicago make it to the 7th and then to SCOTUS and then back to 7th before our pre-empt carry law comes into affect Jan 2012? What happens if it doesn't or does it matter?

Lord I wish we had a 6-3 court with a set of balls

I'd rather see about 75 ® votes in the state house and 39 ® votes in the state Senate!!

If we had that we'd probably spend more time in the "Back Room" and "Gear" Forums instead of Illinois and National Politics! thumbsup.png

I wouldn't complain about that. This site might be a bit more like a ghost town if Illinois ever wised up and completely respected the 2nd amendment, as does Alaska, Arizona, and Vermont. However, I'd be willing to make that sacrifice. There'd still be plenty to talk about in the Back Room, such as "where's a good target shooting event this weekend"... But that's just dreaming...
