Jury nullification does happen. I don't think I would ever be chosen for a jury involving a gun charge because I would be honest under pretrial questioning that I consider the 2nd Amendment an affirmation of our God given right to self-defense and that it should not be infringed on in any way. I doubt the prosecution would allow me to be seated but if they did they would find the strength of my convictions a problem, for them. However, I don't advise people to have any gun, magazine, or gun component visible in their vehicle at any time. I might find the guy guilty of being stupid if that's an option available per the judge's jury instructions. You never know who will get picked. About 12 or 15 years ago I got picked to be on a jury and I was wearing a "Guns Save Life" t-shirt when I was picked.
