We had stopped monitoring these proceedings when discussion included community gardens as a way to prevent violence and a number of other topics not directly related to gun law. Today we resume our interest as speakers will include Ed Sullivan of ISRA, Todd Vandermyde formerly of NRA, and our own spokesperson Valinda Rowe. . mauserme Posted September 22, 2022 at 04:53 PM Author Share Posted September 22, 2022 at 04:53 PM She informs the task force that not only did SCOTUS vacate New York's carry ban, they also vacated magazine and gun bans in other states, etc. She says that solutions must be focused on those who commit violence, not on an interest balancing that affects the law abiding gun owner. She calls for in depth studies to determine what might have been done to detect problems in advance, our family units, possible gaps in our court system. He states that ISRA supported the 72 hour waiting period for all firearm purchases. He states that ISRA supported the red flag law in it's original form.
