Tvandermyde Posted July 24, 2012 at 05:51 PM Posted July 24, 2012 at 05:51 PM since CapFax doesn't allow the posting of pics or other documents, I have posted some here to help augment my post. I also encoruage those of you From CapFax to stick around and participate in the discussion and debate if you like. Here are some examples of guns banned by the so called Assault Weapons Bans (AWB).HB1294pp11.pdfHB1294pp2.pdfHB1294pp31.pdf
GarandFan Posted July 24, 2012 at 07:58 PM Posted July 24, 2012 at 07:58 PM Pardon the naive question, but has Acevedo tried to re-invigorate his perennial bill in the wake of the Aurora crimes?
sirflyguy Posted July 24, 2012 at 08:35 PM Posted July 24, 2012 at 08:35 PM The Chicago creed: Never let truth and reason get in the way of emotion and politics.
Federal Farmer Posted July 24, 2012 at 11:06 PM Posted July 24, 2012 at 11:06 PM Somehow some time months ago I got banned at Capitol Fax. I don't see my comments. I've never been rude or inflammatory.
Gary Posted July 24, 2012 at 11:21 PM Posted July 24, 2012 at 11:21 PM I have been put on moderated status just because I kept laughing about a particular person whose name can not even been mentioned on this site. Why? No one seems to know or is willing to say. Oh well. You guys might even see this post if a moderator with common sense sees it vs those who seem to get themselves banned at Capitol Fax.

Well, that is too bad for Rich and his readers, as your comments surely elevate the intellectual trajectory of that blog.
kurt555gs Posted July 25, 2012 at 12:08 AM Posted July 25, 2012 at 12:08 AM My .17 caliber Henry Varmint Express is banned in Chicago as an assault weapon because it holds 12 rounds in it's tubular magazine. The same lever action rifle chambered in .22 is however exempted.

You might be surprised to find out which moderator is pretty consistently the only one approving your postings, Gary.
Jaybuck Posted July 25, 2012 at 05:36 AM Posted July 25, 2012 at 05:36 AM I was asked to remove the Capitol Fax email address from my mailing list. I did but I replied first!
Ranger Posted July 25, 2012 at 01:56 PM Posted July 25, 2012 at 01:56 PM Despite comments to the contrary, CapitolFax leadership and most of the contributors seem to lean anti-gun and liberal. I haven't been banned; but I have also had non-inflamatory and absolutely truthful posts there disappear. That said, it is another forum in which we can help enlighten and educate those who are honest and open to the facts. Therefore, we should contribute to the site; but word our posts in such a way as to appeal to those who might not be entrenched in the anti-gun culture. For those CapFax contributors who are open to the facts and are new visitors to this site, Welcome! Just like family, we argue amongst ourselves; but we all realize that Illinois residents will be at least as safe and probably more so if our 2nd amendment rights are fully recognized in this state..

The same lever action rifle chambered in .22 is however exempted. How so? The only thing limited in Chicago is semi autos (not that lever action), and they are limited to 12 rounds, so this is legal. I know you love to bash Chicago, but please get your fact straight before doing so.
