Illinois Gun Owners Have New Voice in Federal Elections

CHICAGO, June 8 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The following was released today by ISRA Fed PAC:

Illinois gun owners will be flexing a bit more muscle in the 2010 federal elections thanks to the recent launch of a new federal gun owners' political action committee - ISRA Fed PAC. Formed earlier this year, ISRA Fed PAC is a non-aligned, non-partisan political action committee whose mission is to educate the public on the gun-rights records of candidates running for federal office.

"The state's gun owners have been looking for a vehicle to allow them to get more active in federal elections," commented ISRA Fed PAC spokesman, Richard Pearson. "ISRA Fed PAC allows them to do just that."

"This is an excellent time to launch the federal gun owners' PAC," continued Pearson. "There are a number of important races coming up in 2010, including one for the junior U.S. Senate seat from Illinois. We also plan to get Illinois gun owners more involved in several key U.S. House races as well."

"All in all, the members of the Illinois congressional delegation are going to find themselves held to greater accountability on gun rights issues than they have been in the past," said Pearson. "Our website includes ratings for all 21 members of the Illinois congressional delegation. Needless to say, delegations members who have "D" or "F" ratings will be hearing from their gun-owning constituents a bit more than their better-rated colleagues will. Nonetheless, ISRA Fed Pac will be positioning itself as a positive factor in federal elections. Our aim is to give the state's gun owners the knowledge they need to prepare them to make informed decisions in the polling booth."

Paid for by ISRA Fed PAC. Not authorized by any candidate or candidate's committee. Contributions to ISRA Fed PAC are not tax deductible and are subject to all Federal Election Commission rules and regulations. No corporate donations accepted.
