Slappy Posted February 28, 2009 at 08:07 AM Posted February 28, 2009 at 08:07 AM This on existing guns or just new purchases from date of bill going into law? we need to rally the troops for this one. This one is indeed big.

This one is indeed big.The way I read it is that it would mean that every gun sale--even every private party gun sale--would be kept in Big Brother's records. HB 48, of course, would do all that and more, but it applies only to handguns.
ishmo Posted February 28, 2009 at 01:49 PM Posted February 28, 2009 at 01:49 PM I found the following in the full text and wonder if it's just a typo or if they're just planning on creating a bunch of instant criminals. On or after January 1, 2006, the record shall contain the date of application for transfer of the firearm. This bill definitely needs to be defeated and the NIN's watched very closely
