Sounds more like the USPS lost them than the state sat on them. Had this happen with other stuff sent by mail. Sent from my SM-G920P using Tapatalk Was it really a postmark? Wasn't it a meter instead? The ISP uses meters and they put their own dates when the run through the meter and thus it would not get a postmark applied by the USPS. So you really have no way to tell when it was sent unless it was a postmark.

I wonder how it would come up for LEO however? Would it just say the FOID is valid since one of them is? I didn't think they enter the FOID number on a stop. I would just hear on the scanner that they have a FOID and it is valid. Problems would arise when they run the number of the FOID that you have on you like the OP said.

I haven't heard of it but then I don't think most people look at it after they have them in hand.

I bet the other states are wondering the same about their licenses not being allowed in Illinois.. Any idea why our permit is not allowed there yet?I know the answer to this one. It's because their carry law, like ours and the majority of other states, do not have recognition written into it, as would be proper per the 14th Amendment.
