I bet the other states are wondering the same about their licenses not being allowed in Illinois.. Any idea why our permit is not allowed there yet?I know the answer to this one. It's because their carry law, like ours and the majority of other states, do not have recognition written into it, as would be proper per the 14th Amendment. There are many states that have it right, though. LOL. My response was rhetorical.

I wonder if they know they also merged with the State of Chicago too? Having said that I am glad another State allows us to carry when we don't allow them.

Check the stamp. It'll have the date it was postmarked. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk It is not a postmark it is a Meter that is applied by the ISP and has nothing to do with when the letter is mailed. They could hold it and bunch several days of mail together all with different Meter dates.

They assigned numbers when you started the process not when you paid so they did assign them in order.

These aren't post office post marks. These are run through an office postage machine post mark. SwanHunter (Mike Rowe) posted on the IL Hometown Forum on Arfcom today that he, Molly, and Richard Pearson (ISRA head) got a tour (no pics allowed) of the ISP area where the CCLs are being printed. They got to see the infamous printer, which does everything but put the postage on the envelope. So SOMEONE in the ISP office has to run all these envelopes through a postage machine in their office. So unless they were metered early on Saturday 3/1 by the ISP and pickup up by the USPS that day, they are effectively the same as ones that were metered by the ISP early on 3/3. Correct a business meters their own mail and it SHOULD all go out on the date on the meter and they control the date. They can either have the USPS pick it up or drop it in a box or take it to the USPS. Businesses can and do sit on their mail with the wrong dates.
