  1. I have heard of people confusing them for the no smoking sign! They look so much alike, I can see myself making that mistake... I have yet to see one that illustrates a Ban on a Smoking Gun!
  2. Seemingly, they think they may be more liable for civil damages by their posting of the sign - so they've decided to provide their own security! That Security Guard is "Scary". Ha Ha
  3. I think a letter with a photo of the Lurker could be very effective.
  4. A leave behind letter...GREAT IDEA! Can you make #2 into #1 and make it a link, so we can copy it?
  5. Personally, I think whoever Posted that "No Conceal Carry" sign is an idiot. Ha Ha
  6. I support your effort, but I was wondering, did you express your thoughts to the store Manager / Owner? You have some really good Crime Data and I know you were a very good customer of theirs... perhaps they would have an open ear to your suggestion to... REMOVE THE SIGN. I works for me, I am not intending to brag here, so please do not take this the wrong way, I have helped to REMOVE 19 GFZ signs, by simply talking to the people in the position to remove it. Yelp can help, but I believe we need to meet this issue head on, face to face and convince the other person, through polite and courteous points of conversation. In other words, we need to make it personal... we need to put a face on the issue of Conceal Carry. When people have an idea in their head, it takes something or someone to alter that opinion. You can be that person that changes their mind and not only get that sign removed, your words will be echoed to other store owners, by every store owner that you get to remove their sign... I believe that is how you start a trend and change opinions on a larger scale. Alright, I'll get off of my Soap Box now!
  7. BOYCOTT TRUCK parked outside Illinois Representative Scott Drury's Home town Office...Note: "No Conceal Carry Sign".
  8. Parking my Boycott Truck next to Illinois State Representative Scott Drury's Hometown Office in Highwood, is always a good conversation starter with the locals. Note the "No Conceal Carry Sign" in the window.
  9. UPDATE: SCORE!!! The Liberty City Dealership has REMOVED ALL NO CONCEAL CARRY"S! No GFZ sign on the Main Entrance, No GFZ sign on the Service Entrance, No GFZ sign on the Mazda Entrance, No GFZ sign on the Subaru Entrance or any other entrance doors! This is VICTORY in Libertyville, Illinois! The simple concept on being polite, expressing your concern on the matter and backing it up with facts, will work to ... REMOVE THESE SIGNS!Still in Posted. Is it at 1000 and 1001 Park Ave and 507 Milwaukee Ave? Under a different name after looking at Posted? I sent a request for them to be removed 10 minutes ago... it will take time for them to remove them from the list, I drove by the place today and then walked up to the doors, in total disbelief... the outline of where the signs had been is all that remains of FIVE GFZ signs! Somehow, that outline of where they used to be... really put a smile on my face and forced me into a "Happy Dance", Ha Ha.
  10. UPDATE: SCORE!!! The Liberty City Dealership has REMOVED ALL NO CONCEAL CARRY"S! 11. If I lived in Mundelein I'd be questioning the village board, the mayor, and the police chief as to why tax dollars were spent purchasing the signs. The city has no business involving themselves in it. Mundelein, is a town that changed its name over 5 times... it has a street named Hawley... that is so rough, we call it Hawleyshit! It is the most backwards town in all of Lake County. Area, Mechanics Grove, Rockefeller and other mindless names before naming the town after a Catholic Priest that donated a Fire Truck to the Village. Bishop Mundelein had a town named after himself... because of donating a Fire Truck. The Mayor and Village Board are not in this century... so talking to them is a complete waste of time. Besides...I do not live there.
  12. Here is the removed sign, held by the Manager that stripped it off the window.
  13. SCORE!!! Hong Kong Chop Suey of Mundelein... GFZ sign REMOVED! I stopped in today to grab some food and saw this No Conceal Carry sign in the entryway door. Sooo, I talked with the Manager, whom I've known for about twenty years and she said... I TAKE IT DOWN, RIGHT NOW! I really enjoyed seeing it being stripped off the window. She said it was sent to her by the Mundelein Police in a letter, but it is gone now!
