SmershAgent Posted March 31, 2005 at 11:48 PM Posted March 31, 2005 at 11:48 PM And these are just the Senators who voted to override Rod's Wilmette veto, correct?
Blaster Posted March 31, 2005 at 11:50 PM Author Posted March 31, 2005 at 11:50 PM No this is all of them. I thought we better work on everyone this time. See above color code.
45superman Posted April 1, 2005 at 01:50 AM Posted April 1, 2005 at 01:50 AM I'll volunteer for Group 1. What's our message? Do we ask them to pressure the Rules committee (and Judiciary, I guess) to get SB1500 and SB2101 to the Senate floor? Or are we working under the assumption that HB2567 and/or HB2607 will win in the House, and we're trying to drum up Senate support for them? Or are we talking about other Senate bills entirely? Sorry if these are dumb questions.
junglebob Posted April 1, 2005 at 02:11 AM Posted April 1, 2005 at 02:11 AM I'll take group 2. I mailed and faxed the reps on my list. Anyone who hasn't at least written a letter to his own rep. do it now. 460Rowland made a good point on the last thread. Your vote is job security for your rep, so your letter does carry extra weight. Contacting your senator would be good too.-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------All that is necessary for evil to triumph is for good men to do nothing. (That includes good women)
Blaster Posted April 1, 2005 at 02:29 AM Author Posted April 1, 2005 at 02:29 AM Or are we working under the assumption that HB2567 and/or HB2607 will win in the House, and we're trying to drum up Senate support for them? Or are we talking about other Senate bills entirely? I think we need to push for the house bills and mention the Senate bills also for good measure we need to cover all of the bases.
45superman Posted April 1, 2005 at 02:54 AM Posted April 1, 2005 at 02:54 AM Gotcha. Makes sense to me, and was kind of what I'd figured, but I wanted to make sure. As always--nice work assembling the list.
