RandyP Posted January 27, 2009 at 12:35 AM Posted January 27, 2009 at 12:35 AM I thought I'd share my 'solution' to labelling my reloads. Doubtless others here use this same method, but as a rookie it was 'new' to me - lol Went to the local Office Depot and picked up a pack of Avery 8163 ink jet labels (2" x 4"). On sale for $10 for 250 labels, 10 to a page. Used Microsoft Word and in a few keystrokes created this. Saved it as a Word document so printing more labels will be a snap. In Word, just click on MAILINGS, LABELS, and then select 8163 from the OPTIONS under Avery Mailing. Just one way to skin the cat out of many I reckon. My home PC has a cheapie HP ink jet printer and this works just fine thru it.
cberan Posted January 27, 2009 at 12:58 AM Posted January 27, 2009 at 12:58 AM Very nice, I might be doing this. Thanks for the walk through in Word also. You might want to add, times fired so you can keep track of how your brass is wearing and when its time to pitch it.
GWBH Posted January 27, 2009 at 03:58 AM Posted January 27, 2009 at 03:58 AM Thanks RandyP,I've never thought of that!
Ocellairs Posted January 27, 2009 at 05:59 AM Posted January 27, 2009 at 05:59 AM ....looks almost exactly like my labels that I made for my reloads.
mack69 Posted January 27, 2009 at 03:16 PM Posted January 27, 2009 at 03:16 PM Randy, could possibly upload the Word doc here? (minus your name of course) In the attachments section just under the post box: click on browse to find your doc, then click upload and finally click the arrow in the manage current attachements box above the browse/upload buttons and click on your attachment
RandyP Posted January 27, 2009 at 03:54 PM Author Posted January 27, 2009 at 03:54 PM Handload_by.doc Here you go. Hope this helps Actually I didn't have a copy here at work so I just recreated one. It is quite simple if you just open the 8163 label under Mailings in Word, typed in the label info and then cut/paste it as a new word doc so I could save it. You can create whatever details work for you that way. I will likely just create a unique label set each time I reload a batch so I won't need to write anything, it will just print out. If the spacing is correct, you 'should' be able to cut/paste my creation in the label form once you get Word to the right label set (8163 under Avery Mailing) or customize it for your own needs.
Ocellairs Posted January 27, 2009 at 09:43 PM Posted January 27, 2009 at 09:43 PM ...here's the one that I made.
