Stratomaster18 Posted December 29, 2019 at 12:16 AM Share Posted December 29, 2019 at 12:16 AM Hello. Several years ago I remember seeing a post talking about “FOID carrying” in prohibited or posted areas (unloaded and enclosed in a case). I can’t find the post now but am wondering if that is a legal option still. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
THE KING Posted December 29, 2019 at 12:26 AM Share Posted December 29, 2019 at 12:26 AM It is not FOID Carry. You are talking about transporting with a FOID card. Yes, there is a difference between the two. As far as the law is concerned, you are able to transport a firearm in a GFZ as long as the particular location is not listed in the UUW statute. An example would be a school, court house, federal buildings, etc.etc.
Stratomaster18 Posted December 29, 2019 at 01:16 AM Author Share Posted December 29, 2019 at 01:16 AM So then what if it is a church that is also a school but I would be there on a Sunday? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
THE KING Posted December 29, 2019 at 01:25 AM Share Posted December 29, 2019 at 01:25 AM There are churches that have areas for child care and preschool. Some of these churches post the school areas and leave the church area not posted. I don't know your church or it's layout so I can't give you a definitive answer. If it's not posted,as some would say, carry on.
