May 29, 2007 - Report from Springfield

As all as most of you know Father Michael Pfleger has threatened John Riggio (the owner of Chuck's Gun Shop) and Illinois lawmakers with being "snuffed out". We all know what that means. Fr. Pfleger has described the ISRA as a bunch of low lifes.

Excuse me, but I don't recall any of us calling for the out right murder of those who oppose us politically. That is a privilege reserved for the left wing wacos. People like Pfleger, Osterman, and Kotowski to name a few seem to get away with anything with the blessing of the "main stream" media.

I was interviewed today regarding the Fr. Pfleger story but the tape was not shown. It makes you wonder doesn't it?

I expect the session to go past the "deadline". All antigun bills will either have their deadline extended of returned to rules, or placed on second reading, which means the same thing.

I am asking all of you to pass the word about what is happening here in Springfield. We need to let all gun owners know what is going on and to join the ISRA.

Thank you for your continuing faith and support. It means a lot to all of us down here including the pro-gun legislators who are fighting for all of us.

It made the news here. They played a clip on WLS Radio and said the NRA [i think it should be ISRA] was asking for an apology.

heck, I think a priest inciting viollence should be defrocked.

Father Pfleger is going to be given a venue to voice his opinions on ABC.

On the radio, Ron Magers said it was next Tuesday, don't know which is the correct date.

Stop the Violence: A Search for Solutions

WLS

May 31, 2007 - ABC 7 Chicago's Ron Magers and Cheryl Burton lead a discussion exploring ways to stem the growing tide of violence against the children of Chicago in STOP THE VIOLENCE: A SEARCH FOR SOLUTIONS, Wednesday, June 6 at 6:30 p.m. on ABC 7.

This half-hour program airs commercial free and in HD with special reports from ABC 7 News' Charles Thomas and Paul Meincke.

An alarming statistic: at least twenty-nine students from Chicago Public Schools have been murdered this school year. The recent death of Blair Holt, the heroic Julian High School student gunned down on a CTA bus, left many Chicagoans stunned, outraged and calling for action. During this half-hour special, Magers and Burton initiate dialogue among community leaders, victims' families and law enforcement about how to meet the challenge of keeping our children safe. They examine the need for more role models, family support and community connections for "at-risk" kids. Panelists participating in this discussion include Philip Cline, superintendent, Chicago Police Department; Rufus Williams, president, Chicago Board of Education; Dr. Joyce Brown, manager, secondary schools counselors, Chicago Public Schools; Ronald Holt, father of Blair Holt; Alicia Amador, coordinator of youth services, Mujeres Latinas en Accion; Rev. Dr. Michael Pfleger, pastor, Faith Community of St. Sabina.

The special will be featured on-demand at abc7chicago.com.

Wilson Toy is the executive producer of STOP THE VIOLENCE: A SEARCH FOR SOLUTIONS; Sylvia Jones is the producer.

So Pfleger threatens other people with death and breaks federal tax law, and then gets rewarded with the chance to make another tirade on a national outlet, eh?

I presume there will be no opportunity for a rejoinder from a knowledgable speaker on our side.

So much for even the most token pretense of objectivity on the part of ABC.
