Democrat Nelson sticks to his guns on Kagan

It wasn’t abortion-related memos or military recruiters at Harvard that sank Elena Kagan with Sen. Ben Nelson. It was guns. “She’s already made statements ... and has written things that would show a bias against the Second Amendment,” Nelson told The World-Herald.

Since several RINOS have said they would vote for confirmation for Kagan, Nelson knows he can be safe in "opposing" Kagan since she will probably be confirmed anyway. I don't know that I would take his statements at face value.
