Bill Brady will be in Chicago on Thursday to open campaign office

(Chicago, IL) -- July 27, 2010. State Senator Bill Brady (R-Bloomington) will be in Chicago on Thursday to open his campaign's first office in the city.

Despite a series of low-key, post-primary appearances in Cook County, the downstate lawmaker has been criticized by political observers for spending insufficient time campaigning in Chicago where he is largely unknown among rank-and-file voters.

Brady's downtown headquarters will be located at 1201 North Clark Street.

A meet-and-greet with candidate and staff is scheduled from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

Brady's appearance may also likely be good for a vote or two.

"Just met him in the Oak Lawn office, I can't wait to cast my vote for him!," wrote Chicago-area resident Tammi Disabato Griffin on Brady's Facebook page after the campaign today announced the office opening.
