Not what you want to pay but what you would pay!!

  1. 1. What is the most you would pay for a chance to win a limited edition Black SCAR 16?

    • $100 with only 100 chances being sold
      5
    • $50 with only 200 chances being sold
      5
    • $25 with 500 chances being sold
      5
    • $20 with 750 chances being sold
      4
    • $10 with at least 1000 chances being sold
      2
    • $5 with at least 2500 chances being sold

All procedes past the cost of the gun would go to IllinoisCarry Inc. I am not sure I am going to do this or not I have a few other options I am looking at right now first. i am thinking it would be a neat way to raise a lil bit of money for IllinoisCarry to help pay for SAFR. I don't think we would be able to sell 500 chances so I am leaning toward the $100 option but I am wondering if anybody will buy them at that price or if we would be better off selling them for $50 or $20.

It's your doing.

Here's our experiences at GSL:

$5 tickets for "Great Guns" works well for us, generating well over 1k ticket sales in six months. Downside is you need a lot of big face to face meetings because that's where we sold 80% of tickets. The remainder were by mail with aggressive advertising in a monthly 10k circulation publication.

It's the best combination of price we've come upon and we've tried the $20 ticket as well as the sub $5 ticket price before.

If you think you're going to sell $10k in tickets... well, I wish you luck but think you may be aiming a little high. $100 tickets? Way too high IMHO.

I voted $20 because it is the maxiumum amount I can spend without having to explain myself to SWMBO. I am guessing many people are in the same position.

I think you are dreaming if you think you can get all that many people to throw in even that much though.

Are you planning this as a licensed raffle and all? I would be a bit nervous if it was something the site was promoting that was not completely legit. We don't need the potential bad press.

But a legal gun raffle might generate some good press.

It would not be a raffle. To do a raffle you have to go through a whole bunch of paperwork. To do a drawing you don't need all the BS. I have talket to the proper authorities about this. I will not be selling tickets I am rewarding a chance for the drawing to people for a donation to IllinoisCarry.
