I was asked today to Walk a precinct for the Campaign for $195 for Mark Kirk.

I guess its a tight race with him and Dan Seals.

Just find it funny that he is needing to do that.

I didnt help out of course, but it would be easy money.

Kinda felt like a Judas if I did. I cannot even vote for the guy. Dont care if its a R in front of his name.

IF they paid me more, I might do it.  :poke:

I'll do it for $195!!! Where do I sign up? I have no idea who the guy is, but $195 would pay off one of my textbooks.

He's the Republican congressman who's calling for a new federal assault weapons ban because he misses the old one so much.

C-Rock, would they let you walk alone? How would they know what you were saying to people?

I was thinking the same thing take his money & push his opponent when you get to peoples doors. If they make you wear his shirts & stuff you tell people you are only doing it for the money & proceed to tell them how bad the guy really is.

I would do that except I am probably blacklisted after the two letters I sent Kirk regarding his support of the AWB.

Even if I had the time, I would not accept pay to support representative Mark Kirk. His federal assault weapons ban bill is the tip of his iceberg. (BTW, read that as: his federal ordinary common gun ban bill.) I think he is a weasel and not to be trusted.

Before his last election, his mailing displayed a picture of him by a jet fighter, giving the impression he supported the Iraq war. After the election, I'm pretty sure he worked with the Democrats to end the war.

I have a letter from him 2004, in it he states he supports gun control. About 2 years later he started to talk about common sense gun laws. It was about that time the anti-gun people also started using the term common sense gun laws.

He has not replied to my several requests for replies during the past few months to 1) drop his gun ban bill, 2) resign from mayor Bloomberg's "Mayors against illegal guns", and 3) support & enforce the 2nd Amendment in D.C.

He supported a bill for embryonic stem cell research. I asked him about pro-life and he said he supports abstinence education. I asked for his legislation, and he never replied. I suspect he is pro-abortion.

He said he is against the so-called fairness doctrine. He cosponsored the broadcasters freedom act. But I don't trust him to not act like a Democrat on this item.

I'm leaning to not voting for him. I won't vote for Daniel Seals, I suspect he is worse. I don't know enough about the libertarian candidate. I was against the libertain governor candidate after hearing him speak, he sounded insincere, saying he took a risk supporting the 2nd Amendment. Sounds like no conviction and maybe no principles. I think he was just pandering to help get governor Blagojevich re-elected.

I serve as an election judge. One senior citizen, a WWII vet, said Krik was "alright". There was a member of Seals' team out, checking names of voters off of her list. She said she had to leave to call those who did not show by the afternoon. I guess the Democrat machine is working hard to get Seals elected.

(Where is a "real" limited-republic candidate when you need them?)

One more point against representative Kirk. He said he was for tough sentences against criminals. I proposed concepts for legislation like 3-strikes-and-they're-out, enforcing capital punishment the next day after the trial at a low cost, and trying those >=18 year criminals as adults. He never replied. I suspect him of more weasle words.

Kirk is a RINO. He's got an R after his name but almost all of his policies as boiler plate liberal.

Sadly, the alternative is Seals and he is even worse. At least he's honest about being a left winger. Sad.
