Training Coursework Listing. Updated July 28

This thread will be a listing of training offered in and around Illinois by date.

 

 

This will be permanently pinned and updated as I have time to update it.

Types of courses:

 

Utah Concealed Carry

These classes are usually fairly short (4-5 hours) and don't require range time. They satisfy the State of Utah's training requirement to receive on non-resident Utah carry permit which is affordably priced at about $65 for the initial application (5 year license) and is valid in roughly 30 states. These classes are excellent for someone with experience who wants to get one of the most comprehensively recognized permits.

 

NRA Personal Protection (in the Home)

The NRA's Personal Protection in the Home class is typically a two-day class that covers the fundamentals of shooting along with plenty of range time. This course, like many, satisfies the training requirement for a Florida non-resident carry permit which is about $117 (7 year license) and is valid in roughly 31 states. (Why do people like the Florida permit over a Utah permit? Florida's a nicer place to vacation in the winter and Florida doesn't recognize non-resident permits from any state but Florida.)
