This is the second time we've hosted Mike. I've asked him for a custom class this time. First day will be one day of Covert Carry and Day 2 I asked for a USPSA / IDPA skills and drills type event. To be successful in this class you should be able to hit an IPSC A zone at 20 yards 4 out 5 times with your carry pistol. Below is the course description and sign up link.

He also worked as an independent contractor and advisor for various consulting companies to include SAIC (PSD Iraq), Triple Canopy (PSD Iraq), and The Wexford Group (Counter IED ground combat advisor Iraq and pre-deployment rifle/pistol/tactics instructor for the Asymmetric Warfare Group). Mike has attended numerous Army, Marine and Navy special operations related schools, and high level training events. He is a certified FLETC Firearms Instructor, Federal Air Marshal Instructor, NRA Certified L/E Patrol Rifle, Pistol and Shotgun Instructor, Glock and Colt (AR15/M16/M4) armorer, and Simunition1x1.gif FX1x1.gifScenario and safety Instructor. He also holds a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Washington.

His specialized knowledge from both military and contract work coupled with his broad operational experience give him a wide range of practical knowledge that is unique.

Mike trains vetted civilians, military, State, Federal and local Law Enforcement agencies the result of which made CTT-Solutions a Small Business Achievement Awardee in 2010, the first year the company did business as a stand-alone entity.  He has published 3 books and written numerous articles in magazines to include Shooters, Defense Review, and Recoil. Most recently, Mike has developed protective USGI magazine floor plates for sale and is in the process of developing other products to include training videos.

Mike Pannone 2-Day Handgun/Covert Carry Class - May 5-6, 2016 - Maryville, Illinois

Day One:

The CTT-Solutions pistol program of instruction is designed to give shooter specific answers based on operational experience of multiple vetted military/ LE sources, testing and historical data. All techniques taught are highly efficient and effective in the use of a pistol for combative engagements as opposed to sport shooting.

Topics covered during 3-day pistol course:
- Safety
- Combat Pistol Marksmanship
- Weapons Handling
- Loading, Unloading, and Reloading of handgun
- Draw stroke
- Penetration Ballistics
- Pistol Accessories
- Malfunctions
- Body Mechanics and Moving While Shooting
- Alternate Shooting Positions
- Injured Shooter Weapons Manipulation
- Single hand marksmanship with strong or support hand
- Single hand draw with strong or support hand
- Single hand reloads with strong or support hand

Day Two:

The CTT-Solutions covert pistol program is designed to exercise and refine the skills necessary to access and effectively use a concealed handgun with a high level of speed and efficiency day or night. This course is based upon training I received at 1st SFOD-D, provided to the Federal Air Marshal Service while I was the head range instructor at the FAMS school, the chief in-service instructor at the Seattle Field office of the FAMS, taught and used during protection operations in Iraq and refined for a course recently taught to high level SOF assets prior to high threat deployment. Students will be required to use the same gun and holster throughout the entire course. Time will be allotted in the first day to identify the best type, location and wear of holster and associated equipment. The remainder of the course will be dedicated to making the use of the weapon from that configuration rapid, sure and effective. Although courses of fire will go out as far as 50m, the bulk will be multiple partially obscured targets with multiple shots per target at 03-15m.

The course is designed to safely make you an extremely competent legal concealed handgun carrier (civilian, military or law enforcement) and give a foundation of drills and concepts for you to maintain your skills at your own range. Tactics will revolve around awareness and avoidance with shooting always being the last resort.
