Seems New York is going for broke.

We've seen this coming for quite awhile, ever since "gun violence" (damn those evil murdering inanimate objects!!!) became a Dim-O-Rat talking point as a "public health issue." They are patient. They plant their seeds, and patiently wait for them to grow, watering them daily. They are insidious. They are the totalitarian, Marxist Left.

If only we could get "The Criminals" to start using Crowbars!

The we could have "Crowbar Violence" maybe even "Bumper Jack Violence" or "Breaker Bar Violence"

Damn those criminals for co-opting our tools, damn them!

A public health crisis would imply that everyone is involved somehow. Bongino was talking last night about how weâd all like to come out and say how stupid democrats are to allow this to happen but the fact is they arenât that stupid. Theyâre well aware of it but are complacent and clearly not interested in fixing it. This boils down to small pockets of neighborhoods and certain segments of people, or folks. Iâm no fan of being lumped into those categories. Sad display from the left to continue down this path.

His first two bullet points

"Gun violence is a public health emergency" Translation- (Sound of dog whistle blowing)

"We will be fighting this epidemic with data and science" Translation- "with his own data vs actual data..." b."Mr. Science is currently being paid to handle the other public health emergency and can't be present, but he has granted all rights and permission to use the word "'science'" in order to push everyone into the pen".

BTW,

How are incidents of the following in New York doing?

Rapes?

DUIs?

Spousal Abuse?

Overdoses?

Selling Loosies?

Not enough of those for a proclamation of a public health emergency and throwing a hundred million or so into a new department?

You just WISH you could make Democrats understand this...

They aren’t interested in doing anything about it. Chicago is a gleaming example of it.

Not to digress and switch cities... but Re: Chicago... I touched on it somewhere... IL States Attorney Kim Foxx tosses out cases left and right. Crimes where there have been 'multiple' charges including a gun charge, she'll get rid fo the gun charge. Here is an article stating she's dismissed more than 25,000 felony cases in her first 3 years! https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-8612317/Cook-County-prosecutor-Kim-Foxx-dismissed-25-000-felony-cases-including-Jussie-Smollett.html. Is this a racial thing? (to lighten the population of black criminals in jail) not sure.

but to get back to the reply, you'd think Dems, and the people of Chicago, including the south side (where most of this is happening) would be tired of it... and REGRET electing Kim Foxx... and the mayor...

and same sentiment over to NY with DiBlasio...

AT SOME POINT, Dem citizens, have to be sick of the crime... and smart enough to blame the right person.(s)

Have you heard about the fiasco created by the "other" Kim?

Kim Gardiner, City Prosecutor of St. Louis, is in hot water again because her office missed 3 court hearings on a murder trial and the judge let the perp go despite the videotape evidence clearly showed the perp killing another man. It also turns out that Gardiner's office was signing the name of an assistant to court documents who was already out of the office on maternity leave !

With apologies to Charles Dickens for the use of his title, "A Tale of Two Cities", this could be altered to "A Tale of Two Prosecutors" because of the startling similarities.

Both are major metro prosecutors -

Both are having their own "legal trouble" -

Both are Democrats -

Both are "African/American" -

Both are female -

Both are named "Kim" -

And their surnames are back-to-back alphabetically - Fox and Gardiner.

“Just like we did with COVID, New York is going to lead the nation once again with a comprehensive approach to combating and preventing gun violence, and our first step is acknowledging the problem with a first-in-the-nation disaster emergency on gun violence. When we see an injustice we don’t look the other way, we stand up and fight it because that’s the New York way,” the governor added.

Does this mean he's going to send all the gun owners to nursing homes?
