We are 571 days into President Trump's first term in office.

The promised "day 1" policy allowing carry of personal firearms on military installations remains vaporware.

Along with the national reciprocity

Not sure how you expect a President to pass legislation.

The President Passes Legislation, a play in one act:

President  : Congress, I will be vetoing legislation that does not contain any national reciprocity provisions for citizens exercising their Second Amendment rights while traveling within the United States.

Congress :ike: : Here's this bill that doesn't have what you asked for.

President :ermm: : VETO.

Congress : Here's another bill that doesn't have what you asked for.

President  : VETO.

Congress  : Oh, we did not realize you were serious. Here's a bill that has national reciprocity.

President  : Thanks. SIGNED.

2A Supporters:

And, curtain...

Of course, right now he's pushing for funding for the "wall" and immigration reform, and threatening to shut the government down unless he gets that. So throwing national reciprocity into the mix would muddy the legislative waters. However, while the Rs have majorities in both the House and Senate, getting 2A-friendly legislation passed should be straight forward. But we've seen how that has worked out...
