Hundreds of Black Gun Owners Are Marching on ‘Black Wall Street’ This Weekend

The armed protest in Tulsa is expected to be one of the largest gatherings of Black, pro–gun rights Americans in years.

By Trone Dowd

Hundreds of armed Black gun owners and Second Amendment advocates are planning to march on “Black Wall Street” in Tulsa, Oklahoma, this weekend to pay homage to the lives lost in the Tulsa Race Massacre and advocate for more Black gun ownership in the U.S.

Nearly a century after the violence that destroyed an affluent neighborhood in Tulsa known as Black Wall Street and left as many as 300 Black Americans dead, a collection of gun rights groups organized the peaceful event for Saturday, the anniversary of the 1921 massacre. After a year of international protests against racism and police brutality, the men and women will continue the fight for racial justice, which includes being able to arm and protect themselves without consequences, ...

“Our hope is to try to galvanize a community, educate around the position of Second Amendment rights, and hopefully be a vehicle to more or less unify the African American community,” Yafeuh Balogun, the co-founder of the Huey P. Newton Gun Club in Dallas, told VICE News.
...
At least three other organizations are joining the Newton Gun Club, including the Elmer “Geronimo” Pratt Pistol and Rifle Gun Club of Central Texas, the Anubis Arms Gun Club, and the Panther Special Operations Command. All of these organizations were founded in the last seven years years, to inform Black Americans about their legal right to bear arms and defend themselves.
...
“I think solidarity is important,” he said. “Of course every group is not going to agree with every political position more or less. But in terms of this particular march, I think because of the significance of it and what it means overall, these groups were able to collectively work together.”

I wish those pushing the institutional racism that fix the foid propagates knew the significance of doing it right now on the anniversary of this tragedy.

Do we have any allies on the floor of the house or senate that could bring this to the attention of the thoughtful people that aren't blindly sponsoring this bill?

I am not sure how to approach this subject. All individuals should be able to protect themselves. I do not support a skin shade. All Americans should be protesting to support all their rights

I had a strange encounter yesterday morning while installing a security camera at my front door which is close to a state highway.

A gentleman with dark skin stops his car at my entrance, motions to me from inside his car. I climb down the ladder to ask him if he needs help. He gets out asks me if I am a Jew. I say no. He starts talking gibberish in a foreign language. He ask me I am German. He may have said something in German. I smile and tell him I haven't a clue what he is saying. He asks what I am. I say an Americans.

Now it gets interesting. He tells me he was in the army and traveled the world. He has trained 6000 of his people in the use if guns. He wants to inform me that my days (us whites) are numbered. We need to go back to Europe now. He made some strange historical claims of history being rewritten. He claimed not to hate but clearly he does. I said he sounds like a racist bigot. Of course he responded he is not but wanted to tell me our days are numbered. He yelled this as he was getting into his call. There was more.

I do not know why he stopped. Maybe my firearm training sign got his attention.

There are some strange dudes out there.

I saw something claiming one of the guys at the rally supposedly was claiming the time would come when they would kill anything white that moved. I’m all for everyone having access to the 2nd amendment. However, don’t threaten people. My opinion, they need to remember the thousands and thousands of men on the union side from the civil war who died so they could have a chance for freedom. I’m no better than anyone in the least, but my family and I have had to work for what we have. I know what it’s like to have to work extra to make ends meet because I’ve been there.

I will say however, I can see how people who feel like they don’t have much would feel like the system is against them. Sometimes in this country it does feel like politicians do whatever they want, and that people who are rich keep getting richer, and that for the common people to get ahead is harder. I’m not one of those people but if I’m trying to see both sides I could see why people feel that way. However, if I look back, most of my issues including financially were a result of my own mistakes. It seems like instead of taking responsibility these days people want to point fingers at others instead of taking care of their own house. The promise of America isn’t that you will succeed, it is that you are given a chance to succeed. People forget that sometimes.

The Marxist Democrat Party has made it their mission to keep us divided on race and class. They benefit from keeping people disgruntled, uneducated, and violent.

That makes the trillions of dollars blown on social programs a huge lie. Democrats only want to increase their base by all means necessary, not lift people out of victimhood.

Don't these people know that the whites are able to return fire? Just a rhetorical question.

Anti-gun groups push the narrative that white gun owners are all racist and don't want non-whites to own firearms - that we believe the Second Amendment is ours, and ours alone. Videos like this are meant to stir up that division.

Nothing could be further from the truth, of course. I mean, IllinoisCarry fights for the rights of everyone. So do the other groups. But that video has noting to do with the rights protected by the 2A.

Personally, I know some folks who are black, fine people. I believe if you are white, black, whatever color, you have all the rights in the US Constitution.

However, I was taught that my rights end where your nose begins. In other words, you have the right to protest and say what you wish, but not to hurry or threaten others. I think black gun owners have the same rights we do, and I think there should be more of them.

It would not be a bad idea for all of us to get more training for safety though.

Why you think they are using every trick in the book to disarm whites and call it gun violence. How can you reason with people that believe an eye for an eye for millions of their people whites have supposedly killed.
