I wanted to share my experience in case it can help someone else.
I applied for my Foid on 11/25/2019, and waited my 30 days. On 12/25/19 I still had heard nothing. On 12/25 I emailed the ISP, and my State Rep. I heard back from someone at my Representatives office on 12/26 stating that they would have an answer for me on "Monday," and never heard back from ISP.
Today, Monday, 12/30/19 (35 days out), I received a call from the ISP stating that they had reviewed, and approved, my application. He was forwarding it on the the Foid department. He wasn't sure when they were working due to the holiday, but as soon as they were available they would update the website showing the approval. Once they get around to entering the approval I could expect 1-2 weeks for printing and delivery. About 5 minutes later I got a call from my Rep's office telling me to expect a call from ISP today with my approval.
If you are getting close to the 30 day period I recommend contacting your local Representative. I didn't expect much from my Rep on this issue, she has a very anti-gun voting history, but she was very helpful. I don't know how long it would have taken to get my approval had my Rep not reached out on my behalf.
