keimier Posted March 26, 2021 at 08:19 PM Share Posted March 26, 2021 at 08:19 PM When appealing a FOID card denial using the "Request for FOID Investigation, Relief and Reinstatement of Firearms Rights" form, can I just fill out the PDF file and use a digital signature and send it via email, or do I need to print the PDF out, sign it, scan it back to my computer and attach it to the email (ISP.FOID.Appeals@illinois.gov)? Molly B. Posted March 26, 2021 at 08:22 PM Share Posted March 26, 2021 at 08:22 PM This is a relatively new option, I do not know the answer but will ask ISP.
FredNickl Posted March 30, 2021 at 12:55 PM Share Posted March 30, 2021 at 12:55 PM ISP counsel told me they accept electronic versions, but I did not ask specifically about an electronic signature. However, in Illinois, anything intended to be a signature is a signature, and therefore you using a PC, tablet or phone to make a signature must be accepted.
