ISP claiming signature was altered with photo editor.

Here's a new wrinkle, I've been using the, "Quicksign," feature in Nitro PDF creator to sign the certificates, for students. I just had a student call me and they were rejected for a photoshop certificate. This is not the case, but it's seems to be in issue now after many years. I think I know why they said it, the quicksign deleted/covered part of the signature line, so they probably thought it was doctored. Does anyone else use a digital signature, and is there something in the law, I don't know about which prohibits same?

 

Also, does anyone have a blank current 3hr CCL cert, or a link to download one. All mine have the signature already on them, in case this becomes a deal, I would like to have an unaltered copy. I will of course provide my instructor details if needed.

Nope, it works for me...  The funny thing is, if you did a PS version of it, you wouldn't be able to tell. They have my name, email, and phone on file, all the need do was call, and ask; That's why we keep records, why would you accuse someone of a felonies act, without an email or phone call?

 

 

Anyway... Some help on the cert would be good.

I have heard of this happening occasionally. I know ISP prefers a handwritten signature.

What is the law under the ACT in question? 

If the signature is considered part of a Business transaction, I am not going to think to hard on this, the state law says it's legitimate.

mab, yes that's all well and good, but it was still denied. Unless you have money, you are at their whim.

There is no link. They are not posted online. Instructors need to email the ISP and request the templates.

Yes,  the email used for updating credentials is the right email address.
