Yeti Posted April 30, 2026 at 08:50 PM Posted April 30, 2026 at 08:50 PM Letitia James says body armor has a "propensity to terrify the public" and can turn you into a "fortified threat" Letitia James desperately wants a judge to believe body armor isn’t protected by the Second Amendment
TomKoz Posted May 1, 2026 at 02:56 AM Posted May 1, 2026 at 02:56 AM Why not ban bulletproof glass? Or any type of bulletproof/resistant type shield / shelter? What if an assailant fabricated a bulletproof / resistant mobile shield (think Pope Mobile)? Shouldn’t those, and bulletproof glass in cars, be banned also ? You can’t fix stupid, or Democrats.

While they're at it, ban thick wood, steel, concrete, big rocks, etc. After all, they might allow bad actors to take cover in the act and be a "fortified threat". I am sure if she was asked if the threat of wearing armor applied to anyone providing security to her that would be "different" and not "terrifying" like if you or I wore it. At least she can point to the analogous period in history when some people had armor designed to reduce risk from the weapons of the day (swords, arrows) and those in armor slaughtered and depopulated the entire non "armor wearing" public and no one else survived as a corollary, right? Only knights lived? Oh wait... And the very well-informed Founding Fathers had no knowledge that people had previously fortified ships or buildings or people to reduce risk of harm from modern weapons or they would have called it out in the 2A as an exception? She really isn't the sharpest tool in the shed... but she probably wants to ban those too so that's ok. Edited May 1, 2026 at 03:19 PM by Yeti fat fingers, small keys

Hold that up while she's making this nonsense argument in court. Edited May 1, 2026 at 03:09 PM by davel501

Hold that up while she's making this nonsense argument in court. Makes sense to you and me! She and the "no kings" protestors will say that is fine to arm the police. Only the government should be armed according to them because, you know, that never allows for kings. If only the Founding Fathers had only thought of disarming a populace...

You can't win with the community organizers, they exist to BPMC until someone gives them money to shut up, so ignore them until they burn out.
