mauserme Posted January 13, 2026 at 12:53 AM Author Posted January 13, 2026 at 12:53 AM 1/13/2026 The Senate returns today, 1/13/2026, to begin the second year of the 104th General Assembly. The House is not scheduled until 1/20/2026. We are starting to see new legislation filed in the House but, as of last check 1/12/2026 (as I type this), there is nothing new filed in the Senate. Neither body has scheduled any legislative hearings yet. All of this will change. The House is not in today. The Senate is scheduled for 2:00 PM. Next Days Scheduled House: 1/20/2026 Senate: 1/14/2026 Senate Calendar 1/13/2026

Molly B. Posted January 13, 2026 at 04:55 PM Posted January 13, 2026 at 04:55 PM And we know the second year of session is supposed to be about appropriations and budgets but they seem geared, as always, toward punishing IL firearm manufacturers and owners.

It might be too much to expect them to make the hard decisions for the good of the state...as in....you know...LEAD.

Glock43 Posted January 15, 2026 at 09:02 PM Posted January 15, 2026 at 09:02 PM (edited) Couldn’t someone make a motion to adjourn the 2026 session for the year? Edited January 15, 2026 at 09:03 PM by Glock43
