Draal Posted January 11, 2026 at 08:09 PM Posted January 11, 2026 at 08:09 PM A similar question was archived back in 2024 and I was curious if anyone has been able to order a serialized Glock frame online more recently.
Monty80 Posted January 12, 2026 at 02:17 AM Posted January 12, 2026 at 02:17 AM I've transferred quite a few lately.
Draal Posted January 13, 2026 at 12:30 AM Author Posted January 13, 2026 at 12:30 AM That’s good to hear. I’m waiting on responses from a few online dealers still.
Dan The Man Posted January 14, 2026 at 06:56 AM Posted January 14, 2026 at 06:56 AM Is POLYMER80 a good frame? Or should I be looking at something higher priced?
Dan The Man Posted January 18, 2026 at 07:52 AM Posted January 18, 2026 at 07:52 AM I seen SCT MANUFACTURING serialized complete build kits for Glock 19 lowest price $215 on RighttoBear.com. Does anyone know if SCT is a good kit?
Draal Posted January 21, 2026 at 02:21 PM Author Posted January 21, 2026 at 02:21 PM I have heard back from GritGrips.com. They will ship serialized frames to Illinois to our FFL. @Dan The Man, I don’t know much about SCT to make a call. I like the ergonomics of the Grit Grips frame personally. I’m just still on the fence and may just opt for a Gen 3 OEM G19 frame.
davel501 Posted January 21, 2026 at 02:30 PM Posted January 21, 2026 at 02:30 PM Glock store.com will ship serialized frames here. @Dan The Man most folks are going to stray away from quality discussions because it depends so much on the firearm you get and how you use it. Anything is a good gun if you are filling a safe with interesting guns. If you're going to use it as your one firearm for self defense the math changes a bit. If you aren't going to take care of it at all (like most cops) then just get a factory glock and leave it as it came from the factory. If you check out Chad over at the school of the American Rifle, he has lots of good discussions on stacking manufacturing tolerances.

This is not a carry or self defense gun just something to keep me busy. I am trying to get more info on good companies and ones to stay away from. I had problems in the past with p80 build and tighter tolerances from zaffari Precision slide. I have a friend call me about problems with his Geisler build and trigger not resetting. I looked on Reddit and people trash Geisler lowers. Thank you for the info on tolerance stacking. I will definitely look into it.
