Who is running against Pritzker? Darren Bailey AGAIN?

Recommended Posts

Exactly what is the game plan here?  Chicago rejected Mr. Bailey once already.  What is he doing different that will win the votes of Chicago land?

I dunno if it is wise to run him again.   We have seen all the BS JB has done.  As bad as he is, what will cause Chicagoians to vote for him, THIS TIME?

i'M NOT SEEING A WAY FORWARD if Darren is the running candidate for Governor?

Regardless of who wins the primary,  the key to electing a new governor is managing to get the same voter turnout as the presidential elections.  A gun friendly candidate doesn't have to win Chicago or Cook Co., they just need to get 20-23% of the vote there.

With the current climate of dissatisfied voters in some wards, this might be the best opportunity to elect a pro-2A candidate but the key will be voter turnout. Go vote and get your family and friends to vote.

Ain't gonna happen with zero meaningful arrests from Scam Blondi and $6/lb ground beef.

No matter if it's typo or editorial, that one's a keeper, Molly B!

IMHO, I feel that Bailey did himself in the first time around when he set his main platform on "Void the FOID" and his in your face strong pro 2A stance.  It seems that's all we heard from him.  Although I strongly agree with him, I think he could have won more Chicago voters and FOID card holders over if he would have shown support for the Constitution as a whole, (which implies pro 2A).  I'm afraid that if he wins the primary, he'll lose the general, only because of his previous loss.  I wish he'd throw his support behind Mendrick.  He's pro 2A, but his platform is law and order.

IMO...

What appeared to be a strong pro-life stance was a turn off.

VOID the FOID alone should be a total win in Chicago.

The people in the state, especially Chicago and crook county need to be reminded that Guv jelly doughnut and the democrats were and are throwing BILLIONS of dollars at the illegals while other communities suffered.

Your tax dollars were increased to support the illegal border jumpers and all you get is a bigger bill and lawlessness from elected officials while YOU MUST OBEY the law!
And republicans need to learn to grow a pair and realize that the Democrat Media is going to hate them no matter what, so don't bother trying to appease the democrat media and give people a choice, not the dang uniparty!

If it's Bailey I probably won't bother to vote, I'd prefer Ted Dabrowski but would also vote for James Mendrick.

The problem is JB will spend as many millions as it takes because you can't lose the governors race and then run for president and no-one can match his money.

He will flood the airwaves with lies you can't do anything to stop, unfortunately just like Rauner did to Ives.

Even with a Republican Governor theres little they can do against supermajority house and senate, maybe a wave of executive orders, who knows.

I doubt you could do a executive order to force and independent redistricting for fair maps and without that Illinois will stay lost.

Those communists like it that way though.......its a form of self-flagellation for the sins of whites colonizing North America and bringing forth the evils of capitalism to the new world.

So, do any of the pro-2A candidates have a Cook County, or 7 County Chicagoland ground game? People knocking on doors with literature, or something to that effect...

From what I saw from Bailey on his last debate with JB....  does not inspire confidence.

I would like the Republicans to run a female and push the gender card.  "First Female Governor"  and make sure they are Latino, but just as conservative as Mary Miller......

and promise 2k rebate checks to the people of Chicago to help with "high prices" (which would FORCE Democats in springfield to work with her)

The Republicans need to dangle some fruit on a stick, something that would force Springfield to work with her, I would have no problem with Darren being lieutenant governor, but he's ego might get in the way.

The problem with Bailey was he gave NOTHING to the citizens of Chicago (at leas not what they wanted) moving up there during his last run was not enough.

The ad is still true today:

This is why I was so p... at Rauner with blasting the airwaves with blatant lies, I really think Jeanne Ives really could have beat JB.

Unfortunately I also think that window has closed.

If we can't fight for the most helpless why are we fighting at all?

60 million plus babies murdered since RvW and we shrug off that holocaust like it's just a statistic.

Have we become so evil as a society that we can be satisfied with 'I got mine' and just blow off the rest?

Evil should be resisted in all of its forms, not just the ones that only affect us specifically.

So have the R's MOVE TO THE LEFT and only give stuff to Chicago.... That the rest of us pay for, which are also suffering from high prices? 🤔
That's what we have now and they still can't win...

So you're saying she'd be a big(not physically) upgrade to what we have currently?

You aren't wrong.  As much as I like Bailey, he scared the heck out of the suburban white women.

I've advocated for a Sheriff David Clarke approach. It worked in Milwaukee County which is just as hard left as Chicago.

SDC campaigned as a democrat, dealt with the media like a democrat, behind the curtains he was moderately conservative.

The conservative base is wise to those angles though. We no longer want to be manipulated. Trump's approach was to tell people what he was going to do and why and then he went ahead and did it.

What we need is a candidate that is willing to expose and call out the corruption in the existing systems right now.

Conservatives are not going to rally around someone who 'pretends' to be a democrat and we're tired of moderate conservatives that are nothing better than Democrats lite. Instead of devouring us in a few bites they're nibbling us to death.

As far as the suburban white women... They will never vote for a Republican and any Republican they'd be willing to vote for we wouldn't want. They've been brainwashed into believing that government is the answer to all their concerns and for every concern there is government. Suburban white women are going to continue voting Democrat until their men rise up and convince their women of the error of their ways. Or at the very least, get out and vote to cancel out their women's vote.
