casey212 Posted November 14, 2025 at 03:18 PM Posted November 14, 2025 at 03:18 PM I've been warned by I think two attorneys that my rights may be impacted in other states as a result of my FOID-revoked status in Illinois. I assumed that there must be some states that have a law like "if you are prohibited from possessing firearms in any state, you are not eligible for a concealed carry permit". I wasn't too concerned because I know my current state has no such laws. Now I got curious which states besides Illinois my rights are affected in right now, but I wasn't able to find any state laws like that. So does anyone know if there is any state my rights could be affected by with a FOID-revoked status alone and no criminal record?
Quiet Observer Posted November 14, 2025 at 04:54 PM Posted November 14, 2025 at 04:54 PM The reason for the revocation of your FOID could be a factor in some state. Before going to a state, I would check it laws on Handgunlaw. Handgunlaw.us
