RandyP Posted November 12, 2025 at 12:00 AM Posted November 12, 2025 at 12:00 AM (edited) From the Glockstore - The new Glock V FWIW I'm quite satisfied with my G19 with accessory G25 upper and have no plans on changing/upgrading. Edited November 12, 2025 at 12:02 AM by RandyP
Dumak_from_arfcom Posted November 12, 2025 at 04:15 AM Posted November 12, 2025 at 04:15 AM Well. It has a cruciform trigger which some thought was going away for a performance style trigger. I believe that keeping the cruciform trigger means Glocks are still banned in California, so I question what Glock is doing. That legislature isn't going to roll back any gun control. They were just using the switches as an excuse to ban another chunk of guns.
Euler Posted November 12, 2025 at 05:48 AM Posted November 12, 2025 at 05:48 AM The design changes might hinder of the use of existing aftermarket switches. (I'm confident the switch-makers can adapt.) The changes probably also hinder the ability to swap parts between old and new models.
RandyP Posted November 13, 2025 at 12:36 AM Author Posted November 13, 2025 at 12:36 AM I would add that if I didn't already have the equivalent of two Glock handguns (9mm and .380) I would not hesitate to purchase one of the new Glock V's.
DoYouFeelLucky Posted November 13, 2025 at 03:40 AM Posted November 13, 2025 at 03:40 AM I give it 30 days before the gang-enabled engineers have a new switch for the V model.

Glock43 Posted November 20, 2025 at 10:34 PM Posted November 20, 2025 at 10:34 PM It was a joke! The Glock 18 is a select-fire “NFA” item! No switch needed.
