Likes?

Why does this site not have a like button/dislike button? It would limit a lot of worthless post, I agree, or not and lends weight to something well said or posted. Why?

Perhaps we could have the discussion again, maybe even a poll to see what the members think of the idea?

I might be odd man out but I'd prefer discussion and viewpoints of *why* someone likes/agrees or disagrees rather than mashing a button that displays my agreement or disagreement. I hang on discussion forums for the discussion and perspective of others. I think "likes" or whatever forms a basis for competition and that's not what I'm here for. I want yer perspective and verbiage and am after the interaction and all that. IMO/YMMV.
